How can we have joint-free brickwork without coming into conflict with the basic rules of traditional bricklaying?
Answer: ZERO, elegant in its simplicity!
With Zero®, Vandersanden has developed a new facing brick which allows you to create a clean and jointless façade in a simple way.
The secret is a recess at the top of the facing brick.

The beauty of Zero® is that the facing brick can be used according to the classic bricklaying methods. The builder will also need a profile, a level (line and pins or spirit level) and a trowel.
By creating a recess at the top of the facing brick, the mortar will sink - for a large part – into the brick. This will leave you with a joint view of hardly 4mm.

The brick is applied to the row underneath by a tilting motion, starting at the front, ending at the back, pressing the mortar into the brick.
This way, the front of the brick will remain clean at all times. There is hardly any difference with the classic method of bricklaying.
